“Finding the End of the Mother Road” book Full title: Finding the End of the Mother Road: Route 66 in Los Angeles County by Scott Piotrowski. Contains maps and color photos and detailed information about all the many alignments of the route, including the one that Chicken Boy roosts on today. Incredible research job! 118 pages (5-1/2"x8-3/8")in a coil-bound format. This second printing, is from 2005. L.A. Bizarro “The All-New Insider's Guide to the Obscure, the Absurd, and the Perverse in Los Angeles”--a dozen years after the best-selling original, the revised tome is awesome on toast-points. High-dang-larious and dense with craziness--we would urge you to get it even if Chicken Boy weren't in it (starting on page 120). Lots of stuff we never knew and lots we knew but haven't made the pilgrimmage yet. But a new checklist is made, and we will be venturing forth for some urban tourism (tourbaning, or urbting?). Because Los Angeles is a foreign country. From some parallel universe.
