Arty Industrial Felt Coin Purse Designed by San Francisco artist Josh Jakus, this piece lays perfectly flat until you zip it up into an organic, slightly egg-shaped coin purse (also good for makeup or a camera). Architectural, arty, super-distinctive. Zipped up, it measures around 5-1/2"x4-1/2"x2-1/2". It's recycled industrial felt (two layers) with your choice of a silver zipper (with streamlined pull) in your choice of zipper-edging color. We also have some of his larger purse designs.

Best Purse Hook Ever It's the best we've ever tried--simple, sturdy--built to hold today's ginormous purses. A fantastically useful gift! We got our first purse hook about thirty years ago (no lie) from mom who got it from Japan. It was dainty and frilly and we always used it. Then we lost it. Now purse hooks are a bit more out there and we needed a new one--this fit our utilitarian, not-so-fancy aesthetic perfectly. Silver finish, folds flat, comes with a carry case. Coming in at around 4-1/4" long, it will hold a heavy bag. Also, the hanger part pivots enough to allow the hanger to hold your bag off a table or ledge with not much clearance underneath. These things, while I see them in gift shops, are still little-seen in everyday use--I get comments constantly on mine. You will too.

Chicken Purse Can you even believe someone is manufacturing such a thing? Truly wonderful. It's some sort of rubberized material (easy to take care of), and it just all works really well. Lightweight, size seems about perfect chicken size, and the base is wide enough so it sits comfortably on a table (to avoid sitting on the floor, see our perfect purse hanger in the Accessories section). Our one caveat is that the opening is a little tight (but that just means we have to be more careful when trying to jam the receipt-thickened wallet into the bag). If you don't mind strangers making comments to you, this is your bag. It's a party-starter. BTW, the ones we currently have in stock have a beige (not red) handle but is otherwise as pictured. Measurements: across (beak to tail) = 13"; height (base to top of handle) = 12"; base = 10" by 7" oval.

Felted Circles Shoulder Bag Goldy beige wool felted bag (from India) has circles as a theme... There are felted concentric circles on the body of the front of the bag (back is plain), and then six colored balls along the bottom, with the shoulder strap made up of a bunch more felted balls. It's around 10" tall x 11" at the widest part of the bag, with a zippered closing and a small zippered pocket inside the fully-lined interior. Shoulder strap is 37" total.

Felted Flower Purse Olive and Chestnut felted bag has appliqued felted flowers on the front. It's got handles (the opening is large enough to fit over your arm). Nice size--11" wide x 12-1/2" tall, fully lined with a small zippered pocket inside and also a zippered closing on top of the bag. Since it's felted, there are inconsistencies in the finish and color, but that's the charm of the felting. Back side is plain (no flowers).
