Pop out the pieces, fold, and glue together to create a low-tech paper toy (surely this will keep someone occupied for a little while). All you provide is some school glue--when it's assembled, turn the handle and the four chickens will all take turns pecking at the ground. From the back of the package, we learned this bit of trivia: the first stadium wave was performed at the World Cup in Mexico in 1986. It doesn't explain who invented it, much less why, or how they convinced everyone to participate. Anyhow, the chickens do their own mini-wave. In the realm of toy stuff, these types of contraptions are also called automata (which makes them sound even more impressive).
